<Job Summary>
Join our dynamic dental team as an Oral Surgery Sterilization Assistant and play a vital role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and sterile environment for our oral surgery procedures. In this energetic role, you will ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, organized, and ready for use, supporting our oral surgeons and dental staff in delivering exceptional patient care. Your attention to detail and commitment to infection control will directly contribute to the smooth operation of our busy dental practice.
<Duties>
- Prepare, clean, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments using advanced sterilization techniques and equipment.
- Follow strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure compliance with health regulations.
- Assist with the setup of surgical trays and ensure all necessary tools are available for procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including sterilization logs, medical records, and equipment inventory.
- Support chairside assisting during oral surgeries by passing instruments and managing patient comfort.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality at all times.
- Collaborate with dental staff to ensure infection control protocols are consistently followed across the clinic.
<Skills>
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical and dental information security.
- Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray procedures and 3D scanners used in oral surgery planning.
- Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and procedures related to general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols in a dental setting.
- Ability to operate medical equipment such as vital signs monitors and medical imaging devices efficiently.
- Experience with four-handed dentistry practices to support efficient surgical workflows.
- This is a Monday through Friday position.

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
