Cogent is hiring an Order Coordinator to work at our Edelmann & Associates branch in Plymouth, MN. The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree (minimum) along with previous experience in a customer service/order coordination/scheduling position. Typical duties of an Order Coordinator include:
- Reviews orders for accuracy and completion. Clarifies invalid and unclear order requirements with sales staff
- Enters all sales orders from Application Engineers into our ERP system
- Places orders with vendors to purchase customer orders
- Computes prices, shipping costs, and any appropriate discounts
- Handles inbound calls from customers, vendors and sales personnel
- Provides sales quotes for parts to customers from vendor-provided resources
- Determines the appropriate timing of orders to ensure timely delivery and cost savings
- Verifies and updates customer information
- Checks the customer account for credit and outstanding payments
- Informs the customer and/or salesmen of the shipping date and any possible delays
- Accurately prepares invoices in our billing system
- Electronically files copies of all orders received
- Adheres to productivity standards to ensure all orders are handled in a timely and efficient manner
- Customer Service is KEY; you will have contact with customers on a daily basis
Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Google Drive and Gmail
- Fast paced self-motivator who promotes teamwork among co-workers
- Ability to multi-task such as simultaneously using telephone and computer skills
- Must have a general knowledge of basic mathematical computations
- Ability to sit for extended periods while typing and reading on the computer
- Experience using Epicor Prophet 21 or similar ERP software programs preferred
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
