Order Picker Forklift Operator

Duties

• Operate reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, and other heavy equipment to pick, load, unload, and transport products within the warehouse
• Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately locate and select items for order fulfillment
• Perform order picking with precision, ensuring accuracy to meet customer specifications
• Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety standards and OSHA regulations
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal forklift performance
• Assist with shipping & receiving tasks, including verifying inbound/outbound shipments and updating inventory records
• Support warehouse management in maintaining organized storage areas and ensuring materials handling efficiency

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo lifts, or pallet jacks in a warehouse setting
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control procedures
• Prior experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling environments preferred
• Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety practices
• Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting is a plus
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle multiple tasks with accuracy under time constraints
• Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities during order picking
