Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Order Processing Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the order processing lifecycle, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management tools, and a solid understanding of supply chain operations. The Order Processing Specialist will collaborate with various departments to enhance efficiency and optimize processes within our logistics framework.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end order processing workflow, from order entry to fulfillment.
  • Utilize ERP systems and warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and order status.
  • Analyze data related to order fulfillment, inventory management, and supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and vendor management teams to ensure timely procurement of materials.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for order discrepancies and implement process improvements.
  • Coordinate with transportation management teams for efficient shipping and receiving operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of orders, inventory levels, and supplier contracts.
  • Support demand planning efforts through data collection and analysis.
  • Assist in freight negotiations and manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding inventory control, materials handling, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in order processing or related roles within supply chain management.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL and Tableau.
  • Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes, inventory management, and logistics operations.
  • Experience with procurement practices, including sourcing and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of transportation planning, shipping & receiving procedures, and freight management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience in contracts related to supply chain operations.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and their integration into order fulfillment processes is a plus.
