Ortho Dental Assistant

Overview:
In this role, you’ll be an important member of the clinical team, working alongside GPs and other Specialty Clinicians dedicated to serving patients. You’ll be supporting many sides of the practice, greeting and guiding patients, and helping out across the office as needed.
Schedule (days/hours): Monday through Friday and 1-2 Saturdays as needed. Responsibilities:
  • Assist the orthodontist during examinations and orthodontic procedures
  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms for orthodontic appointments
  • Take digital X-rays, intraoral photos, and impressions/scans as needed
  • Place and remove orthodontic appliances including brackets, wires, bands, and attachments (per state regulations)
  • Change wires, elastics, and ligatures as directed
  • Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the patient record
  • Follow all infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols
  • Collaborate with clinical and front office teams to ensure efficient patient flow
  • Travel between assigned offices within the market according to the schedule
Qualifications:
  • Meet all state-specific dental assistant credentialing requirements for the duties assigned in the state of employment
  • Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards
  • Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between locations
  • Schedule provided in advance; flexibility may be required based on patient volume
Compensation: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour About:
