Summary: The Orthodontic Assistant will assist the Doctor in both Clinical & Administrative duties including: prepare patients for procedures, sterilize & disinfect instruments and treatment area, taking orthodontic records, removing and replacing arch wires, assist doctor in banding and bonding procedures, use of slow & high-speed hand pieces, educate patients on proper oral hygiene, schedule appointments chairside, and patient care correspondence.

Qualifications

  • Detail oriented in order to work efficiently & maintain patient comfort.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills by talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Able to comfortably & efficiently handle multiple deadlines & task assignments.
  • Comfortable seeing & able to maintain a professional demeanor & attitude
  • Present in a professional, clean, well-groomed, & cooperative manner.
  • Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards.
  • Adhere to strict safety guidelines and procedures to OSHA and office standards.
  • Flexible & understand that job duties may change from time to time & that this individual may be asked to assist in other areas of the office.
  • Flexible & understand that work schedule assignments may change.
  • Able to work both independently & cooperatively in team settings

Active RDA License with the Department of Health required.

This is a full-time position; our office is open 4 days a week with alternating Mondays & Fridays. Hours: Mondays 9am-5pm, Tuesdays 8am-5pm, Wednesdays 7:30-4pm, Thursday 7:30-4pm, Fridays 8am-4pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
