Orthodontic Assistant

Responsibilities
Assist orthodontists during patient procedures, including placing and adjusting braces and appliances with precision and care. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, while adhering to safety protocols for radiation exposure.

Manage patient records with accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques, supporting efficient workflow and patient comfort. Educate patients on orthodontic care, oral hygiene practices, and post-treatment instructions to promote optimal results.

Requirements
Previous experience in dental assisting or orthodontic settings is highly preferred; familiarity with dental terminology and anatomy knowledge is essential. Strong understanding of infection control standards, sterilization processes, and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic environment.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour
