We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic orthodontic team. Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient comfort.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Take photos and X-rays as needed, while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize dental software such as Cloud 9 Orthodontic Software managing patient records and medical documentation.
- Provide chairside support during orthodontic treatments, including the use of 3D scanners when applicable.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with scheduling appointments as needed.
- Collaborate with the entire team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant. Must have previous dental and preferably orthodontic assisting experience.
- Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential.
- Familiarity with Cloud 9 Orthodontic Software is a plus.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining patient comfort and safety.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
