Orthodontic Assistant

We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our team and help us deliver exceptional care to our community.

Job Summary:
Come join our growing team! We seek a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant who is passionate about patient care and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The ideal candidate will have prior orthodontic assisting experience, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a positive, can-do attitude. CDA or COA certification preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the orthodontist during a variety of orthodontic procedures
  • Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort
  • Take orthodontic records, including impressions, intraoral scans, and X-rays
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene, and appliance/post-treatment care
  • Perform various expanded duties, including arch wire changes
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure a smooth and efficient daily schedule

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as an orthodontic assistant required
  • X-ray certification
  • Excellent chairside manner and strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members
  • Familiarity with orthodontic appliances and terminology
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
