Orthodontic Assistant - Brand New Pleasanton Office

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 2 years experience as an orthodontic assistant
  • OAP/RDA required
  • Experience with Open Dental software PREFERRED

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ortho records: Taking intra/extra-oral photos, xrays, alginate impressions, iTero 3D scans
  • Ortho chairside skills: Placing separators, Removing wires, Ligating wires - lacing, steel ties, covert molar tubes, etc., Invisalign attachments, Preparing & isolating teeth for bonding, Sizing and preparing for lower fixed retainers.
  • Lab work: Pouring & trimming models, Fabricating Essix retainers
  • Patient education: Oral hygiene instructions, Elastics instructions and compliance assessment, Appliance instructions (braces, Invisalign, expanders, etc.)
  • Other responsibilities: Sterilization, Maintaining a clean, sanitary, organized, and safe working environment, helping with patient charting and reviewing attached treatment codes.

HOURS:

  • Wednesdays: 9:45AM - 6:45PM
  • Thursdays: 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM or 9:45 AM - 6:45 PM
  • Potential to add more days and grow into a full-time position depending on skills, experience, availability, willingness to cross train with General Dentistry team and/or Admin team. Full-time employees get added benefits of Health Insurance, Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, 401K with employee matching up to 4%.

Pay: $25.00 - $38.00 per hour
