Orthodontic DA1 Assistant

ORTHODONTIC DA 1 Assistant (Full-Time)

We are seeking a highly skilled, highly motivated, and passionate assistant to join our team at Ryan Hinckley Orthodontics! This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a solid foundation in orthodontics, who is eager to apply their new skills and knowledge in a challenging and rewarding environment.

THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL, HYBRID POSITION. IT WILL PREPARE YOU TO BECOME FAMILIAR WITH ALL ASPECTS OF AN ORTHODONTIC PRACTICE (FRONT & BACK) AND WILL ALSO GIVE YOU THE "ON THE JOB" TRAINING IN THE ORTHODONTIC SPECIALTY TO BE A FULL TIME CLINICIAN.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
  • Administrative tasks: scheduling and confirming appointments, handling new patient phone calls, receiving patients, keeping treatment records, and participating in our marketing teams.
  • Assisting Orthodontist & Orthodontic Clinicians during a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Taking and editing dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Managing orthodontic and patient records, photographs, and digital x-rays.

Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of an accredited dental program.
3. Current DA1 Status.
4. Proficiency in dental software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Exceptional communication and patient management skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
7. Strong knowledge of dental procedures, controls, and practices.
8. Ability to build rapport with patients and provide excellent patient care.
9. Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
10. Ability to work effectively in a team and contribute positively to team dynamics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
