Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Duties
- Assist the orthodontist in providing quality dental care to patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Assist with placing and removing orthodontic appliances
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care for orthodontic appliances
- Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the orthodontist's calendar
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Order and maintain inventory of dental supplies

Qualifications

(Preferred but not necessary). We are willing to train.
- Dental assisting certification or relevant experience in a dental office setting
- Proficiency in taking panoramic x-rays and knowledge of radiation safety protocols
- Familiarity with orthodontic procedures and assisting techniques
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to orthodontics and dentistry
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with patients of all ages, including children and adolescents

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
