Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Owen Orthodontic Center is currently seeking an orthodontic dental assistant preferably with 1 year orthodontic experience; however, we are willing to train the right candidate . This position is full time, 35+ hours per week, Monday thru Friday 8am to 5pm. The clinic days each week can vary from 2-4 days. We are a fully digital practice.

Our orthodontic dental assistant will assist our orthodontists chairside by taking X-rays, intraoral scans, and photos, helping with procedures, maintaining equipment and records, and educating patients while ensuring every visit is comfortable and positive. Must will be willing to cross train in TC and front desk.

Essential Job Function:

• Assist orthodontists during procedures and patient care.
• Take X-rays, intraoral scans, and patient photographs.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment progress.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, elastic wear, and braces aftercare.
• Scan for retainers and appliances.
• Remove and replace wires, coil springs, and elastic bands.
• Ensure all instruments and equipment are cleaned and sterilized.
• Keep treatment areas organized, stocked, and ready
• Anticipate team needs and provide support where needed
• Perform general maintenance duties related to clinical equipment.
• Uphold a friendly, professional, and welcoming environment for every patient.
