Duties

• Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and efficiency.
• Prepare treatment by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to ensure infection control standards are met.
• Take dental X-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy.
• Manage patient records
• Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and greeting patients

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on orthodontics or general dentistry preferred; familiarity with dental assisting procedures is essential.
• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental and orthodontic care.
• Proficiency in using operating systems
• Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment safely while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
