Orthodontic Dental Assistant (OA)

** We are looking for multiple positions (ortho assistants and ortho leads) which will be between my South Bay and Eastlake offices **

Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures using 4-hand dentistry
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and documentation using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Open Dental and Dolphin
- Assist with patient scheduling and appointment coordination
- Conduct patient assessments and record vital signs

Experience:
- extensive orthodontic experience required, OA license required

- lead orthodontic assistant experience preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Education

• Infection Control
• Coronal Polish
• Pit and Fissure
• Basic Life Support
• Radiograph

MUST have pit and fissure license! RDA license not required but preferred.

Compensation is based of years of experience, certifications and licenses.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
