Duties

• Manage patient accounts by verifying insurance coverage, explaining treatment costs, and establishing payment plans
• Process dental claims
• Submit and follow up on dental billing claims
• Collect payments from patients and insurance companies
• Maintain detailed records related to billing, coding, and payments while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
• Collaborate with clinical staff to verify treatment codes and ensure accuracy in documentation
• Stay updated on changes with insurance policies to optimize revenue cycle management

Requirements

• Proven experience in dental billing, preferably within an orthodontic setting
• Experience working with EMR/EHR systems and managing dental records effectively
• Excellent communication skills to explain financial information clearly to patients
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Knowledge of dental coding standards and billing regulations is highly desirable
