Our NON-Corporate orthodontic office is seeking a hardworking, energetic, highly motivated Orthodontic Assistant, whose primary work will performing lab work. Orthodontic lab duties consist of taking impressions, pouring and trimming models, and fabricating orthodontic (Essix) retainers. Assistant will also have the opportunity to assist the doctor chairside with patients.

Hours for this position will be primarily Monday-Thursday from 7:50am through approximately 5pm. We offer a highly competitive salary based on job duties and prior experience. PTO, vacation days, retirement benefits, uniforms, and bonuses are also available, which will add several thousand dollars to the compensation package.

Myers Orthodontics is led by Knoxville native Dr. Beau Myers who has been practicing orthodontics for the past sixteen years. We have two locations - North Office (Ft. City) and West Office (Bearden). The whole team travels to each office.

Qualifications

• RDA, radiology, and CPR certified PREFERRED
• Prior Orthodontic (or Dental) Experience PREFERRED
• Self-motivated, detailed oriented, and positive attitude
• Excellent communication skills with patients and team members
• Punctuality and presence during working hours a must

Job Duties

• Take Impressions
• Pour and trim models
• Fabricate orthodontic retainers (Essix retainers)
• Maintain accurate patient records
• Prepare treatment stations for orthodontic procedures
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments
• Take intra-oral photos and x-rays (PAN/Ceph/ Scans) of patients
• Assist Doctor chairside with patients

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
