Schulz Orthodontics is seeking a highly motivated person to join our growing team!

We are seeking someone who is energetic, friendly, passionate and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to interact and provide excellent customer service and patient care to our wonderful patients and their families.

We are willing to train the right candidate! Both inexperienced and trained orthodontic Treatment Coordinators are welcome to apply!

This position will work in our Traverse City and East Jordan location. We will explain how that works in the interview.

Join our dynamic team as an Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator, where your enthusiasm and organizational skills will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and smooth clinic operations. In this energetic role, you will be the friendly face guiding patients through their orthodontic journey, coordinating treatment plans, and ensuring a seamless experience from consultation to post-treatment follow-up. Your proactive approach will help foster patient trust and satisfaction while supporting our orthodontic team in achieving outstanding results.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly, establish rapport, and guide them through their orthodontic treatment process with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, coordinate treatment timelines, and confirm upcoming visits to keep patient care on track
  • Educate patients about treatment options, procedures, and necessary preparations using clear and positive communication
  • Assist with insurance verification, billing processes, and financial discussions to ensure transparency and ease for patients
  • Maintain accurate patient records, update treatment plans, and document all interactions diligently in the practice management system
  • Collaborate closely with orthodontists and clinical staff to ensure smooth workflow and exceptional patient experiences
  • Follow up with patients post-treatment to monitor progress, address concerns, and reinforce oral health education

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is highly preferred; familiarity with orthodontic or dental terminology is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple schedules and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly explain procedures and build rapport with diverse patient populations
  • Proficiency in medical administrative support functions such as appointment scheduling, insurance processing, and record keeping
  • Knowledge of office software applications and practice management systems for efficient workflow management
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding patient service and supporting team success
  • Experience or familiarity with medical or dental office operations enhances your ability to excel in this role
