Treatment Coordinator / Orthodontic Assistant
Orthodontic Associates has an opening to join our exceptional Team! This is a hybrid role combining both clinical assisting and treatment coordinating, ideal for someone who loves both patient care and helping patients confidently say YES to treatment.
This position will primarily be based in Shelby (with potential for Gastonia growth) and is PART-TIME (2 days/week) with opportunity to grow.

Schedule:
2 days weekly from 7:40 am – 5:00 pm

Role Overview:
This role is a blend of clinical excellence and patient experience leadership.
You will:
- Assist chairside with orthodontic procedures
- Take records (photos, scans, x-rays)
- Help keep clinic flow efficient and on time
- Lead patient consultations alongside the doctor
- Clearly explain treatment plans and financial options
- Build trust and confidence with patients and parents
- Help guide patients from “just thinking about it” → “let’s get started!”

Clinical Assisting:
- Chairside assisting during orthodontic procedures
- Taking accurate records (photos, scans, x-rays)
- Maintaining sterilization and clinical organization

- Deliver a 5-star experience from consult to start

- Keep patients flowing efficiently and on time
- Balance clinical and consultation responsibilities

Bonus Points If You Have:
- Orthodontic experience
- Treatment Coordinator or sales experience

Requirements:
- Must be a Dental Assistant (DA I or DA II)
- Current X-Ray/Radiology Certification
- Current CPR/BLS Certification
