Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our reputable pediatric dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive orthodontic care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of orthodontic procedures. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, and adherence to all regulatory standards. The Orthodontist will work closely with a team of dental professionals to ensure optimal oral health outcomes with the primary focus on pediatric orthodontics. Candidates must possess extensive knowledge of dental terminology, medical documentation, and infection control protocols, utilizing advanced dental software such as OpenDental.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine orthodontic needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Perform orthodontic procedures including placement and adjustment of braces, aligners, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances.
  • Collaborate with dental assistants to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize digital imaging techniques for diagnosis and treatment planning while ensuring infection control standards are met.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices related to orthodontic devices and overall dental health.
  • Stay current with advancements in orthodontics, including new materials and techniques such as four-handed dentistry and dental fabrication methods.
  • Ensure all procedures adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and infection.

Experience

  • Proven experience in general dentistry with specialized training or certification in orthodontics.
  • Proficiency in dental software systems such as OpenDental is highly desirable.
  • Prior experience working with pediatric patients is preferred, along with familiarity in pediatric dentistry practices.
  • Knowledge of anatomy, medical imaging techniques, infection control procedures, and HIPAA compliance is essential.
  • Experience in dental office or clinic settings with a focus on patient care and assessment is required.   • Compensation is performance-based, determined by clinical production and patient case acceptance/treatment starts.

Pay: From $160,000.00 per year
