We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Orthodontist to join our reputable dental practice. This part-time position requires availability two Saturdays per month and offers the opportunity to work with a supportive team focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will diagnose, prevent, and treat dental and facial irregularities while providing a superior patient experience. This role requires strong clinical expertise, a deep understanding of orthodontic procedures and treatment planning, and proficiency with dental software systems. The Orthodontist will collaborate with our team to improve patients’ oral health and aesthetic outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive orthodontic evaluations, including patient assessment and treatment planning
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using braces, aligners, retainers, and other orthodontic appliances
  • Utilize advanced imaging techniques and dental fabrication tools for precise appliance placement and adjustments
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA (Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.)
  • Educate patients and parents on treatment options, oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment expectations
  • Collaborate with general dentists, pediatric dentists, and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols and aseptic techniques
  • Stay current with advancements in orthodontic technology, materials, and clinical techniques

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience practicing orthodontics (board-certified or board-eligible preferred)
  • Strong background in pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or general dentistry is a plus
  • Proficiency in dental and medical terminology
  • Experience working with dental imaging systems and dental practice software (Open Dental preferred)
  • Knowledge of anatomy relevant to orthodontic treatment planning
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and clinical excellence

Schedule

  • Only 2 Saturdays per month
  • Additional days may be considered if desired

Compensation

  • Competitive and based on experience
