Job Summary:

We are seeking a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon to provide medical leadership and expertise in orthopedic clinical trials. The physician will be involved in working on studies for new cutting-edge treatments related to musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoarthritis, fractures, spinal disorders, joint replacements, sports injuries, and other orthopedic conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and provide clinical expertise in the design, planning, and execution of orthopedic clinical trials.
  • Review and contribute to study protocols, investigator brochures, and clinical development strategies.
  • Monitor trial progress, review safety data, adverse events, and ensure compliance with protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clinical investigators, site staff, and cross-functional teams to optimize patient enrollment and data quality.
  • Interpret and analyze clinical data; contribute to study reports, publications, and regulatory documents.
  • Participate in site visits, investigator meetings, and advisory boards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of orthopedic clinical research trends, regulations, and innovations.
  • Support medical affairs, business development, and scientific communication efforts as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification in Orthopedic Surgery (required)
  • Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in Arizona (required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to clinical data and patient safety
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Principal Investigator or Sub-Investigator in orthopedic clinical trials.
  • Familiarity with electronic data capture (EDC) and clinical trial management systems (CTMS).
  • Knowledge of orthopedic implants, devices, or biologics clinical development.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to clinical sites or scientific meetings.

Pay: $100.00 - $250.00 per hour
