Position Overview:

The Orthopedic Surgeon Specialist/Consultant is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing musculoskeletal conditions, particularly focusing on knee transplants, back and spine disorders, and hip replacements. The role involves surgical and non-surgical interventions, patient consultations, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:Clinical Duties:

  • Patient Diagnosis & Assessment:
  • Evaluate and diagnose conditions related to joints, spine, and musculoskeletal systems using advanced diagnostic tools (e.g., X-rays, MRIs, CT scans).
  • Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
  • Surgical Procedures:
  • Perform knee transplants, hip replacements, and back/spine surgeries with precision and adherence to the latest medical protocols.
  • Manage complex cases involving joint reconstruction, spine deformities, and trauma care.
  • Non-Surgical Treatments:
  • Offer alternative treatments such as physiotherapy, pain management, or regenerative medicine techniques.
  • Recommend lifestyle modifications or assistive devices for patient rehabilitation.
  • Postoperative Care:
  • Monitor patients’ recovery and adapt treatment plans as necessary.
  • Address complications, if any, during follow-up consultations.

Collaborative Roles:

  • Work with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, anesthesiologists, radiologists, and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in case discussions and contribute to hospital rounds and medical boards.

Administrative & Academic Roles:

  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and surgical outcomes for hospital records and research purposes.
  • Conduct or participate in training programs and workshops to stay updated with advancements in orthopedic medicine.
  • Assist in developing and improving hospital protocols for orthopedic procedures and rehabilitation programs.

Requirements:Qualifications:

  • MBBS degree with a specialization in Orthopedics (MS/MD or equivalent).
  • Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
  • Advanced training in knee transplants, back and spine surgery, and hip replacements is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in orthopedic surgery with a focus on joint replacements and spine care.
  • Proven record of performing successful surgeries in the areas of specialization.

Skills:

  • Proficient in minimally invasive surgical techniques and robotic-assisted procedures.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and patient care skills.
  • Team player with the ability to mentor junior doctors and medical staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: AED10,000.00 - AED40,000.00 per month
