4. Job Summary:

The Orthotist & Prosthetist at The Diabetes Centre will assess, design, fabricate, fit, and provide orthotic and prosthetic devices to diabetic patients with limb loss, neuropathy, foot ulcers, and other related conditions. This role involves a high degree of precision and empathy, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patients' mobility, quality of life, and overall well-being.

5. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient assessments, including gait analysis and pedo scans.
• Recommend and design custom orthotic/prosthetic devices for diabetic patients.
• Fabricate and adjust devices using modern tools (e.g., CAD/CAM).
• Ensure proper fitting, alignment, and patient comfort.
• Educate patients on device usage, care, and follow-up needs.
• Collaborate with doctors and physiotherapists for integrated patient care.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality improvement.
• Any other task assigned by supervisor.

6. Requirements:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics or relevant experience in the related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an Orthotist/Prosthetist, preferably with diabetic patients.

Experience:

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a hospital.
