Orton Gillingham Tutor

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Orton Gillingham Tutor to join our educational team. We are a fast growing tutoring company that hires experienced teachers to tutor on their schedule. We work hard to get teachers quality clients, and match them based on your availability.

We have flexible scheduling, but experience is required. We ask our team to also be available about 2 afternoons/ evenings a week.

Please note, this is a 1099 contract position and hours cannot be guaranteed.

Responsibilities

• Orton Gillingham training is required.
• Previous experience instructing students using the Orton Gillingham approach is required.
• Manage Parent communication, including scheduling and confirming location.
• Report Back hours from sessions.
• Plan effectively for each session with the targeted goal of student growth.
• Provide tutoring and additional support to students as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff regarding student performance and needs.
• Proven experience in classroom management and lesson planning is essential.
• Knowledgeable of school standards and testing.
• Familiarity with curriculum development and educational standards is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
