Key Responsibilities

Receiving indents.

To prepare duty roster for the staff.

To check the booking register a day before surgery, for the special requirement and to co-ordinate with the surgeon & anesthetist.

To ensure that aseptic technique is maintained strictly in OT.

To check whether the consumables instruments and equipment’s are available for the surgery.

To ensure that all the equipment’s are functioning properly.

To check if all surgeries on completion is documented properly.

To maintain the emergency stock in Operation Theatre.

To co-ordinate with Operation Theatre technician, biochemical and housekeeping staff.

To ensure that the postoperative patients are handled carefully in the recovery room and transferred properly according to the protocol.

To serve as a positive role model

OTHER RESPONSIBILITY AS INCHARGE

• Maintaining the sterilization of Operation Theater.
• Sterilization of the instruments.
• Assisting Doctors for surgery and various procedures performed in Operation Theater.
• (Cataract, Retina, DCR, DCT, Glaucoma and other miscellaneous surgical procedure)
• Pre and Post -Operative Care of Patients.
• Maintaining the stock of IOL, OT Consumables, etc.,
• Checking the expiry of drugs used in Operation Theater periodically.
• Sending short expiry IOL and Medicines to Main Stores.
• Maintaining the Operation Theater Registers. (IOL Register, OT Consumables, Material Inward Register, Surgery Register, Sterilization Register, etc.,)
• Maintaining Sterilization Report.
• Maintaining OT Culture Report
• Managing workflow
• Training new hires
• Creating and managing team schedules
• Reporting to senior management. ...
• Evaluating performance and providing feedback. ...
• Staff management: Oversee and train staff, including OT technicians and CSSD technicians
• Safety and regulatory compliance: Ensure adherence to safety and regulatory standards
• Surgical schedules: Coordinate surgical schedules
• Equipment and inventory: Maintain equipment and inventory, including managing stock levels and reporting on understocked or overstocked items
• Budget and resource management: Manage budgets and resources
• Risk management: Implement risk management and health and safety policies
• Research: Lead on research projects
• Program development: Assess, develop, and implement new evidence-based programs of care

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹27,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
