- Patient Preparation: Conduct pre-operative assessments and ensure the patient is safely prepared for surgery.
- Sterile Environment: Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control policies.
- Surgical Setup: Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile and readily available.
- Instrument Scrubbing: Act as a Scrub Nurse, passing instruments, sponges, and other supplies to the surgeon and assistant.
- Circulating Duties: Function as a Circulating Nurse, managing the overall safety and flow of the procedure outside the sterile field.
- Documentation: Accurately record all intra-operative details, including counts of sponges, needles, and instruments.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor the patient's vital signs and physiological status throughout the operation.
- Team Communication: Facilitate clear and effective communication between the surgical team, anesthesia, and other support staff.
- Equipment Management: Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment (e.g., electrosurgery units, endoscopes).
- Specimen Handling: Ensure proper collection, labeling, and transfer of surgical specimens.
- Safety Checks: Implement the WHO Surgical Safety Checklist at key phases (Sign In, Time Out, Sign Out).
- Positioning: Safely position the patient on the operating table to allow optimal surgical access while preventing injury.
- Assisting Anesthesia: Assist the anesthesiologist as needed, particularly during induction and emergence.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond quickly and effectively to surgical emergencies or complications.
- Post-Operative Handoff: Provide a detailed and concise handoff report to the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) staff.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage surgical supplies, reporting shortages or damaged stock.
- Policy Compliance: Adhere to hospital protocols, national standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Continuous Education: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain clinical competency.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior staff and nursing students on OT practices and procedures.
- Professionalism: Maintain a high level of professionalism, ethical conduct, and patient advocacy.

Pay: ₹11,073.03 - ₹35,948.82 per month
