OT Staff Nurse

Job Summary

An OT Staff Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care in the operation theatre, assisting surgeons during procedures, maintaining sterile conditions, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process.

Key Responsibilities

1️ Pre-Operative Care

• Prepare operation theatre and surgical instruments.
• Verify patient identity, consent forms, and pre-operative checklists.
• Assist in positioning and preparing patients for surgery.
• Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and functioning properly.

2️ Intra-Operative Assistance

• Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and surgical team during procedures.
• Maintain sterile field and infection control protocols.
• Monitor patient’s vital signs (if assigned).
• Handle surgical instruments and supplies efficiently.

3️ Post-Operative Care

• Transfer patient safely to recovery room.
• Monitor patient condition and report complications.
• Assist in documentation of surgery details.
• Ensure proper disposal of biomedical waste.

4️ Equipment & Inventory Management

• Maintain OT instruments and equipment.
• Check availability of surgical supplies.
• Coordinate with CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
