OTR Dispatcher

Overview

Oversees day-to-day transportation operations by coordinating personnel, equipment, and delivery schedules to ensure efficient and reliable service. Acts as a central communication hub between drivers and customers, addressing issues in real time while maintaining a high level of service and operational compliance. Monitors workflow to adapt to changing conditions, supports drivers throughout their routes, and ensures all activities align with regulatory requirements. Additionally, maintains accurate operational records and documentation to support smooth billing, payroll, and overall business performance.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Scheduling: Coordinate daily schedules for drivers and specialized equipment to ensure maximum fleet utilization and on-time delivery.
• Driver Support: Act as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing clear instructions, assisting with breakdowns, and ensuring compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
• Customer Relations: Keep clients updated on shipment status and manage any delays proactively.
• Financial Accuracy: Ensure all load documentation, including BOLs (Bill of Lading) and load fees, are processed accurately for billing and payroll purposes.
