Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers hauling dry van freight over long-distance routes across multiple states or the Southeast region.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules while maintaining safe driving practices on highways and urban roads.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and inspection reports in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during trips.
• Most of the loads are no-touch loads for the driver.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A (CDL-A) with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver experience for freight transportation.
• Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks and tractor-trailers.
• Familiarity with dry van trailers only.
• Knowledge of route planning and driving regulations for long-haul transportation.
