Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other commercial vehicles to transport freight across various routes
• Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual methods, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle condition in compliance with federal regulations
• Follow designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues promptly
• Assist with route planning to optimize delivery times and fuel efficiency while ensuring compliance with load specifications

Skills

• Valid CDL A license with clean driving record and experience operating tractor-trailers
• Proficiency in driving manual transmission trucks and handling various trailer types such as refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump truck, or roll-off trucks
• Experience with freight load & unload procedures using forklifts or manual methods
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial driving and transportation operations
• Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
• Strong route driving skills with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and schedules
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members

Pay: $1,500.00 - $2,500.00 per week
