Job Summary
Join our dynamic team as an OTR Reefer Commercial Driver with a Class A CDL license, specializing in refrigerated freight transportation across long distances. In this role, you will operate tractor-trailers equipped with refrigerated trailers, ensuring timely and safe delivery of perishable goods. Your expertise in route driving, load & unload procedures, and handling various freight types will keep our supply chain moving efficiently. Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with refrigerated (reefer) trailers across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Manage the loading and unloading process, utilizing equipment such as forklifts when necessary to handle freight efficiently
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking refrigeration units, brakes, tires, and load securement
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Execute route driving efficiently while managing delivery schedules to ensure on-time arrivals at multiple stops
• Handle freight securely during transit, ensuring proper load securement for various cargo types including flatbed, tanker, or roll-off trucks when applicable
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, delays, or issues encountered on the road

Experience

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
• Proven experience operating manual transmission trucks in a commercial setting
• Prior delivery driver experience handling refrigerated trailers or similar freight types preferred
• Familiarity with truck driving regulations and safety standards set by DOT or relevant authorities
• Experience with load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment is a plus
• Knowledge of route planning and route driving strategies for long-haul transportation
• Ability to operate various truck types including flatbed, tanker, dump truck, or roll-off trucks is advantageous

Pay: $0.70 - $0.72 per mile
