Outboard Marine Mechanic

The Boat Place is looking for experienced marine technician to add to its service department. The ideal candidate will have at least six years’ experience as a marine technician, possess vendor certifications (in, Yamaha or Suzuki) and be efficient and thorough at the same time.

We are a Family owned and operated Marine Repair Shop that has been around since the early 90’s. We sell new and used boats, repowers, and services. Our work load is heavy and we guarantee you 40 hours.

We are looking for an individual with a great attitude, enthusiasm for their profession and focused on delivering an outstanding customer experience. The Boat Place is a drug-free workplace. Hours are Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm, During boat show season we may need you to work some overtime at boat shows (show season November – March)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIRED:

• Marine experience on Yamaha and Suzuki outboards is a must. Looking for a Master tech level mechanic, Marine Outboard Mechanic, Outboard Technician.
• 5+ years of experience is required, as well as owning your own tools, although we have many at the shop you can use.
• Must be self-motivated, efficient and willing to work as a team.
• Must be accurate and detail oriented.
• Able to maintain professional presentation and good work ethic.
• Must possess organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must possess strong written and verbal skills.
