Outbound Coordinator - 3PL Freight Forwarding

Our team is growing, and we are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Outbound Coordinator to join our Tampa office.

Position Overview:
As an Outbound Coordinator, you will play a vital role on our operations team. This position involves time-sensitive responsibilities and requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The right candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight pickups, booking shipments with appropriate carriers, and dispatching drivers to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all bookings and creating paperwork for all freight picked up or on the dock (will book both ground and air modes)
• Arrange freight pickups in a timely and efficient manner
• Book shipments with appropriate carriers to ensure service requirements are met
• Dispatch drivers daily to customer and vendor locations as needed
• Communicate effectively regarding outbound cargo with customers, carriers, and MJM team members
• Will add charges as applicable to all pickups done in the market
• Required to work closely with dock personnel
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Utilize freight forwarding systems and office software to manage shipments and schedules

Qualifications:

• Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and fulfilment is big plus, but not required
• Previous experience in logistics or transportation operations is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams
• Familiar with FedEx Ship Manager
• Experience using freight forwarding operating systems
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
