Outbound Operations Lead

Most SDR roles put you on the phones and leave you there. This one puts you in charge of the entire outbound calling operation for an M&A lead generation agency. You’re not inheriting someone else’s system. You’re building yours.

What You Own

Scripting & Campaign Prep

Write and refine cold call scripts that a caller can deliver in under 30 seconds. Map objections and build overcome frameworks. Ensure messaging is aligned across calling and email channels.

Dialer Management & Performance

Review campaign metrics daily — dials, connect rates, talk time, dispositions. Audit recorded calls for script adherence and tone. Validate lead quality. Spot what’s broken and fix it fast.

Caller Development

Run weekly coaching sessions using real call recordings. Identify who needs drilling, who needs reassignment, and who needs to go. Rank performance monthly. Hold the standard.

Talent Vetting

Our recruiting pipeline handles initial screening. You do the final interviews — evaluating whether a caller can actually sell, stay composed under pressure, and take coaching.

What You’re NOT Doing

You’re not sourcing candidates, building systems from scratch, managing HR logistics, or handling client communication. We have strategic partners with top-tier service providers that handle recruiting pipelines, dialer configuration, and operational systems. Client relationships are managed internally.

Your job is the high-leverage work: script quality, caller performance, and operational execution.

You’ll also have a comprehensive operational playbook covering campaign setup, talent management, and daily management cadences. This is an “execute the playbook, then improve it” role.

You’re a Fit If

  • You’ve made cold calls yourself
  • You’re process-driven and can follow a system before you try to reinvent it
  • You can coach a struggling caller with specific, actionable feedback
  • You’re comfortable holding people accountable, including letting underperformers go
  • You can look at campaign data and immediately spot what’s off
  • You communicate directly and don’t sugarcoat problems

The Opportunity

This is a ground-floor build. We’re scaling to 20+ active dialers in the near term. As the operation grows, so does your scope, your team, and your earning potential.

Comp: $2,000–3,000/month base | OTE $5,000–6,000/month with performance incentives tied to campaign results. This is an independent contractor role to start.

Location: Remote | EST hours overlap required
