Warehouse Supervisor - Outbound - 2nd Shift
Role Overview: The Warehouse Supervisor oversees receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping processes in a distribution environment, focusing on one of these areas to ensure high customer service, efficiency, and safety. The role supports site objectives through strategic personnel management and process improvement.
Shift: 2nd Shift, Wednesday-Saturday
Essential Duties:
- Collaborate to meet company goals (productivity, accuracy, timeliness, cost-effectiveness).
- Manage inbound, outbound, or inventory operations, including general warehouse activities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory/legal requirements and service level agreements.
- Maintain a safe work environment by monitoring safety procedures and equipment.
- Plan schedules and assign duties to handle fluctuating workloads.
- Perform or assist with tasks similar to those supervised.
- Supervise, train, provide feedback, and assign duties to direct reports.
- Prepare daily reports analyzing production and shipping.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree or 2 years’ experience as a team lead/supervisor in warehousing/distribution.
- Bilingual (language not specified).
- Strong attention to detail, quality control, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Clear understanding of warehouse distribution and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills and basic math skills.
- Excellent judgment, delegation, and issue escalation skills.
- Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance.
Work Environment:
- High-pressure, time-sensitive warehouse setting.
- Noisy and potentially cold conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 49 pounds repetitively.
- Stand/walk for 10-12 hours.
- Push, pull, squat, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements.
- Engage in physical activities like climbing, lifting, balancing, and handling materials.
- Comfortable with varying noise levels.
Visual Acuity:
- Ability to assess work accuracy and product quality.
- Close visual acuity for tasks like order preparation, computer use, RF scanner operation, and inspecting small parts or defects.
