Outdoor Weekend Bartender

Position Summary

The Outdoor Bartender is responsible for providing friendly, professional, and efficient beverage service in the Summer Kitchen while delivering an exceptional member experience. This position works Saturdays and Sundays and operates in a fast-paced outdoor environment near the beach.

The Outdoor Bartender is responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintaining cleanliness and organization, completing daily setup and breakdown, and supporting a team-oriented service environment. This role requires the ability to work outdoors in hot weather conditions while maintaining professionalism and urgency during high-volume service.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation & Service

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club recipes and standards

Maintain consistency, accuracy, and presentation of all beverages

Verify member orders and ensure timely, professional service

Monitor responsible alcohol service and comply with all ABC laws and club policies

Maintain knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and specialty beverage offerings

Daily Setup & Breakdown

Set up outdoor bar stations before service, including liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, cups, and supplies

Ensure bar areas are fully stocked and operational before opening

Break down, clean, and properly store all bar equipment and supplies after service

Assist with stocking beer, liquor, wine, mixers, ice, and operational supplies as needed

Cleaning & Organization

Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary bar throughout the shift

Wash bar tools and service equipment as needed

Keep service areas stocked, clean, and member-ready at all times

Follow health, sanitation, and safety standards

Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with managers, servers, kitchen staff, and food runners to ensure smooth operations

Communicate proactively regarding product levels, member needs, and service flow

Support teammates during busy periods and assist where needed

Maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Skills

Bartending experience preferred

Knowledge of beer, wine, liquor, and basic cocktail preparation

Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a high-volume environment

Strong member service and communication skills

Ability to maintain composure and professionalism during busy service periods

Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented

TIPS Certification required

Work Environment

This is an outdoor position located near the beach

Must be comfortable working in hot, humid, and changing weather conditions

Position requires standing for extended periods, lifting cases, kegs, and supplies

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely move inventory and equipment

Schedule & Availability

Saturdays and Sundays required

Seasonal summer position

Hours based on operational needs and business volume

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $20.00 per hour
