Why You’ll Love It Here

This mission-driven, not-for-profit academic health network has been an anchor of high-quality care for generations, serving one of NYC’s most vibrant and culturally rich communities. It delivers deeply values-driven behavioral health work with the resources (and sanity-savers) that make practicing outpatient child psychiatry actually enjoyable.

You’ll be joining a respected FQHC-based behavioral health program that is fully integrated within a nationally respected academic medical system — meaning you get all the benefits of community psychiatry plus the academic polish, teaching infrastructure, and system-level support that keeps care consistent and clinicians supported. Teaching residents? Absolutely. NIH-level research opportunities? Also yes — if you want them. And the best part: you’ll be doing most of this work from home.

The Role

You’re stepping into a well-structured Outpatient Child & Adolescent Psychiatry service that knows what real support looks like. Imagine:

  • 3–4 remote days each week (yes, really)
  • 1–2 predictable onsite days
  • A clean 9am–5pm schedule
  • ~10 clinical encounters/day (reasonable, not delusional)
  • A care team that includes case managers, social workers, navigators, and admin support so you can spend less time chasing paperwork and more time actually doctoring
  • Opportunities to teach psychiatry residents and medical students
  • Optional involvement in research programs (NIH-sponsored and others)
  • Strong infrastructure for collaborative care and high-quality, evidence-based outpatient treatment

This is the perfect role for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist who loves community psychiatry, appreciates good systems, and prefers their job not to devour their life.

What You Bring

  • Board Certification or Eligibility in Psychiatry
  • Fellowship training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
  • Comfort working with diverse urban populations
  • A collaborative spirit and a healthy respect for interdisciplinary teamwork
  • A preference for good systems, good people, and good snacks (optional but encouraged)

Compensation & Schedule

  • Total compensation exceeds $290K (base + incentives)
  • Full benefits package
  • Most weeks structured as 3–4 days remote / 1–2 days onsite
  • Academic appointment available at a suitable rank
