About the Job
University of Minnesota Physicians (UMP) is seeking a .20 cFTE outpatient General Internist/Geriatrician to join a high-performing, collegial team of clinicians at Mill City Clinic, an award-winning practice in the heart of downtown Minneapolis, across from the Guthrie Theater.
In this role, you will provide outpatient care to patients from 300+ ZIP codes, reflecting a wide range of backgrounds, lived experiences, and healthcare needs, including many older adults and individuals connected to the arts, higher education, and international communities. You’ll also have the opportunity to help develop and shape a new geriatrics program within the University of Minnesota Physicians.
Qualifications
Required:
MD or DO
Board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine
Active MN license
Completed internal medicine residency
Completed geriatric fellowship
Experience in geriatric care and an ongoing interest in providing high-quality care to older adult patients.
5+ years clinical experience
Preferred:
Medical student teaching experience including curriculum development and evaluation, scholarly activities, and mentoring trainees
Familiar with Epic EMR
Passionate about quality improvement/quality assurance
Pay and Benefits
Pay Range: This role is employed by the University of Minnesota Physicians and clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary is competitive with the market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. The base salary range for this position ($222,643 - $342,480) is based on a 1.0FTE and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.
This position is not benefits-eligible. M Physicians will provide Professional Liability/Medical Malpractice Insurance.
Providers practice at affiliated locations under the M Health Fairview shared care delivery system. This partnership represents a collaboration between University of Minnesota Physicians, University of Minnesota Medical Center and Fairview Health to build a nationally known academic health system that combines academic and community resources to provide the very best clinical care to patients and communities, while also supporting research and education across the joint healthcare delivery system.
