Overview
Join our dynamic mental health team as an Outpatient Mental Health Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological support to diverse populations. Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to accurately identify client needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure client safety during acute episodes.
- Provide specialized support for populations including children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder, and those experiencing PTSD or grief.
- Maintain thorough medical documentation and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while utilizing medical terminology effectively.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for case management, patient care coordination, and research initiatives to enhance treatment outcomes.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to extend mental health services remotely, ensuring accessibility for all clients.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), licensed professional counselor (LPC), psychologist or equivalent according to state regulations.
- Proven experience working in outpatient clinics with diverse client populations; hospital experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health diagnoses and ICD coding systems; familiarity with CPT coding is advantageous.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapies such as psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychopharmacology principles, and crisis management techniques.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, chronic pain conditions or gender issues counseling is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively within a team environment.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $99,673.12 per year
