Outpatient Psychiatrist

SouthlandMD is seeking a Psychiatrist to join our team in the Greater Athens, GA area!

• On-site outpatient coverage 4–8 days per month (this is not a telemedicine role)

There are increased rates for Child & Adolescent certification or those comfortable with this population. There are also opportunities for advancement and financial incentives to include directorship and APP supervision.

Duties:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medication and monitor its effectiveness
- Provide therapy to patients
- Collect data on patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients

Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of mental health disorders and treatments
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Psychiatry
- Valid state medical license
- Ability to pass a background check
