Company Story

MEDIQ Physical Therapy was built from a desire to go deeper with our patients, our team, and our community. We were founded on the belief that patients are not numbers, and neither are the people who work here. We exist to deliver real care, form meaningful connections, and create a workplace where every team member feels seen, heard, and supported.

The name MEDIQ is inspired by the word “medic,” a nod to the founder’s mother who served in the U.S. Army, and it carries the “Q” from our family name. Our military roots have shaped how we lead, with discipline, structure, and service at the core. We believe in lifting others up, taking responsibility for the team around us, and operating with purpose and integrity in everything we do.

We started MEDIQ to fill a critical gap in access to care, committed to helping not just those with the easiest access to therapy, but anyone who needs it. Our mission is to build something extraordinary, not a corporate chain, but an evolving, people-first company that grows with its people, not at their expense.

Why MEDIQ Physical Therapy?

✅ AI-Driven Efficiency: Say goodbye to paperwork overload. We've invested in PromptHealth and PredictionHealth (AI-powered scribe/ChatGPT integration) to streamline documentation, reduce burnout, and give you more time doing what you enjoy: treating patients.

✅ Mentoring and growth: We have a detailed mentoring program, designed for both new and experienced therapists. Grow through roles like Senior Therapist, Team Lead, Clinic Director, Regional Director, and even Partner.

✅ Community at heart: Engage in meaningful community initiatives like wellness workshops, high school sports screenings, and educational sessions that promote movement, injury prevention, and long-term health.

✅ Flexibility and balance: Enjoy a harmonious work-life balance with a thoughtful schedule, ample time for documentation, and the flexibility to work from anywhere in the clinic or at home.

We Work Together

We have cultivated a strong team of physical therapists. We encourage collaboration with other disciplines. If you are searching for a fantastic team to join and develop your clinical skills with, we would love to support you on your journey. Clinicians should work in an environment where they feel valued, heard, and equipped to grow in their careers.

Patients We Treat

We serve 3 main types of patients.

- General orthopedic patients (post-surgical, chronic pain, acute injuries)

- Balance patients, including geriatric fall prevention and vestibular cases

- Sports and aquatic therapy patients — runners, active and retired military, weekend warriors, and high school or collegiate athletes

Please note, we do provide aquatic therapy at this location using the HydroWorx aquatic treadmill. Aquatic sessions are typically managed by PTAs, and mentoring is available. Getting into the water is NOT required to treat aquatic therapy patients.

Our Mentorship Program

We understand the importance of growth for both new grads and experienced therapists. That’s why we’ve designed a unique mentoring program tailored to your needs, whether you’re just starting out or looking to specialize into ortho- or neuro-based therapy.

Our program offers hands-on training with a senior mentor, focusing on the essential aspects of ortho-rehabilitation. Through weekly meetings and direct treatment guidance, your mentor will be a constant source of support and knowledge, helping you navigate complex cases and broaden your skills.

As you progress, the program shifts to monthly meetings and weekly email check-ins, continuing for up to a year or until you feel fully confident in your abilities. This approach ensures that you’re never alone on your journey to becoming a proficient therapist.
