We are hiring for a Output Editor – News Department

Experience : 5+ years

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Journalism / Mass Communication / Related field

* Prior experience in TV/Digital newsroom preferred

Salary Package: Upto 7.2 LPA

The Output Editor is responsible for overseeing the final content output of the news desk, ensuring accuracy, clarity, editorial quality, and timely delivery across all platforms (TV/Digital/Print). The role involves coordinating with reporters, input desk, producers, and graphic teams to deliver high-quality news content.

Key Responsibilities:

* Review, edit, and approve news scripts before publication/broadcast

* Ensure factual accuracy, language quality, and editorial standards

* Coordinate with reporters, input desk, and anchors for story development

* Prioritize and manage breaking news situations effectively

* Monitor live feeds and ensure smooth newsroom workflow

* Write and rewrite headlines, tickers, and summaries

* Ensure compliance with legal and ethical guidelines

* Supervise bulletin lineup and rundown preparation

* Maintain quality control for scripts, visuals, and graphics

* Meet daily deadlines under pressure

Requirements:

* Strong command of language (English/Tamil – preferred)

* Excellent news judgment and editorial decision-making

* Ability to work in fast-paced newsroom environment

* Strong coordination and leadership skills

* Attention to detail and accuracy

* Knowledge of newsroom software and broadcast systems
