495 Movers is a well-established, high-end relocation company serving Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, DC. We are seeking an experienced Outside Moving Estimator / In-Home Sales Consultant to join our growing sales team.

This is a field-based sales position responsible for conducting in-home and virtual surveys, preparing accurate volume-based estimates, and closing residential and long-distance household goods moves.

You will be provided with a steady flow of company-generated leads, internet inquiries, and referral opportunities. This is not cold calling or door-to-door sales.

We are looking for a motivated, professional closer who understands the moving industry and knows how to build trust, present value, and convert estimates into booked revenue.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-home and virtual moving surveys
• Accurately calculate volume and prepare detailed relocation estimates
• Present pricing and service options confidently to clients
• Follow up on pending estimates to maximize closing ratios
• Build and maintain relationships with realtors and referral partners
• Communicate sold jobs clearly to operations for smooth execution
• Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue goals
• Maintain accurate records in company CRM/operations software
• Availability for some evenings and occasional weekends

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience as a moving estimator or relocation consultant (Required)
• Prior experience with a van line (Allied, Mayflower, United, North American, Atlas, etc.) strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of volume/weight-based pricing
• Proven closing ability and track record of meeting revenue goals
• Professional in-home presence and communication skills
• Self-motivated and highly organized

Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with strong industry experience.

Incentives

Base Salary + Commission + Performance Bonuses
Expected Earnings: $65,000 – $120,000+ annually for experienced estimators.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
