Outside Sales - $300K+/year - Home Services

About Bellwether

Bellwether is a family-owned exterior remodeling company based in Colorado, serving the Front Range and mountain communities. We don’t sell windows, siding, and doors as separate components. Instead we deliver whole-home exterior solutions that transform how homes look, feel, and perform. We hold manufacturer certifications that fewer than a dozen companies in the country can claim, and we earn them by holding ourselves to a standard most contractors don’t attempt.

We exist to create wins for everyone: transforming homes for our customers, investing in meaningful opportunities for our team, and building strong partnerships that grow with us. That’s not a mission statement we wrote for a careers page. It’s how we make decisions, evaluate performance, and run the business.

We’re looking for an Outside Sales Representative who wants to be part of that.

What You Should Know Before You Apply

We operate on five core values: Relentless & Reliable, Always Getting Better, Measure Twice, Win as a Team, and Customer Obsessed. We hire by them, review by them, and we’ve parted ways with people who didn’t live up to them, including people who were good at their jobs. If accountability energizes you, you’ll thrive here. If it doesn’t, this isn’t the right fit, and that’s okay.

We run on clear expectations, measurable outcomes, and a team that holds each other to championship standards. That’s how we deliver the kind of results our customers deserve and build the kind of careers our team members want.

The Role

We’re hiring an Outside Sales Representative to join a team that’s changing how homeowners experience exterior remodeling. The right person connects with people quickly, earns trust in high-stakes conversations, and finds real purpose in guiding families toward decisions that genuinely improve their lives. You bring your own drive. You don’t need someone managing your energy or your schedule. You need an environment where that drive is rewarded without a ceiling.

This isn’t a hard-sell role. It’s a consultative one. You’ll sit in living rooms with homeowners who have real problems with their homes, and you’ll help them see what’s actually possible. If you’ve spent your career building trust, casting vision, and moving people toward commitment in any context, this role will feel familiar. The industry may be new. The skillset isn’t.

If you want to do meaningful work with people who hold themselves to a real standard while getting paid what your skill is actually worth, we’d like to hear from you.

Who You Are

You’re the person people open up to. You walk into a room and within minutes, people are telling you things they haven’t told anyone because you have a way of making people feel genuinely heard. You’ve been doing this for years in a church, a boardroom, a coaching practice, a nonprofit, or across a kitchen table from a family trying to figure out what’s next. The context doesn’t matter. The skill does.

You’re energized by variety, competitive by nature, and resilient under pressure. Rejection is data, not identity. You don’t carry yesterday’s loss into today’s opportunity. You manage your own energy, your own schedule, and your own results without being chased, and you’re looking for a model where that discipline pays what it’s actually worth.

If you’ve spent years in a role where your compensation didn’t reflect your ability. Contexts such as ministry, nonprofit leadership, corporate coaching, real estate, or education. You loved the purpose you sometimes wondered what your relational intelligence and leadership instincts could be worth if income wasn't capped. If that's you, keep reading. The person who thrives here isn’t defined by their industry. They’re defined by how they connect with people and whether they have the drive to build something real. The rest is trainable.

The Work

You’ll conduct consultative, in-home appointments with homeowners across the Denver metro area. All leads are provided. No cold calling, no door knocking, no self-generated pipeline. Your energy goes into the appointment: diagnosing how the home performs as a system, educating the homeowner, and guiding them toward a decision that genuinely transforms how their home looks, feels, and performs.

The sales process is structured and you’ll learn it. Most appointments are during business hours, with some evenings and occasional Saturdays. You’ll be accountable to a Director of Sales who wants performers, not dependents. You’ll be part of a team that holds each other to a championship standard. If you want both freedom and accountability, this is where that exists.

Experience and Expertise

Industry experience is not required. Bellwether trains the technical knowledge. What we can’t train is your relational wiring, your resilience, your coachability, and your drive.

Backgrounds that have succeeded at Bellwether:

  • Ministry and pastoral leadership
  • Corporate coaching and executive coaching
  • Nonprofit fundraising and development
  • Real estate
  • Recruiting and talent acquisition
  • Education, athletic coaching, and hospitality management

Baseline requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and willingness to travel the Denver metro area
  • Comfort with technology (CRM, presentation tools, iOS apps)
  • Willingness to learn and be coached on a structured sales process

Compensation

This is a commission-only position with a full benefits package — a combination that reflects how seriously we invest in the people who represent Bellwether in our customers’ homes.

Your income is determined by your skill, your effort, and your results. There is no ceiling. Successful salespeople with little or no prior home improvement sales experience often earn over $200,000 in their first year at Bellwether. Salespeople with extensive experience in window and siding sales often earn over $300,000 in their first year working here.

Those aren’t hypothetical numbers. They’re what happens when a driven person meets a proven sales process, provided leads, and a product and company they can stand behind with confidence.

Benefits package (eligible approximately 60 days after start):

  • Platinum level medical, dental, vision, basic life, short-term and long-term disability
  • 401K match
  • Paid holiday, sick leave, and vacation days
  • Company car

How to Apply

If you read this entire posting and thought, “this was written about me” — we want to hear from you.

Here’s what we need:

1. Send your résumé to careers@bellwetherhomes.com

2. Record a 2–5 minute video on your phone introducing yourself and telling us why you’re the right fit for this role. Don’t overthink production quality — we want to see you, not a polished reel. Text your video to (720) 327-8588.

The video matters. It tells us more about who you are than a résumé ever could, and it’s exactly the kind of initiative the right person for this role would have no problem taking. If recording a short video about yourself feels uncomfortable, that’s worth paying attention to. This role requires walking into a stranger’s home and earning their trust in under an hour. The video is your first chance to show us you can do that.

5. Work will involve periods of high mental and emotional engagement, including navigating sensitive homeowner conversations and managing the pace and pressure of a commission-based sales environment.
