Outside Sales Electrical
Outside Sales – Electrical (Must have Sales and/or Industry Experience)
Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. is one of the largest independent Plumbing, Electrical and HVAC distributors in America. We are looking for an Electrical Outside Salesperson to add to our growing team at our Columbus location. The person in this position will focus on accounts that are located in Columbus proper, Hilliard, Dublin, Powell, etc. We are a full electrical, plumbing, & HVAC supply house with the ability to sell other lines than just electrical.
Work Week & Hours: Monday-Friday, 7 AM-5:00 PM, No weekends
Pay: Competitive Salary and Commission
Requirements:
- Strong Customer service and communication skills
- Must have Outside sales and/or Electrical experience
Job Duties:
- Solicit sales orders or work to build stronger business relationships at company sponsored events
- Uses catalog or computer to determine part numbers needed and pricing and enters sales orders or communicates orders to inside associate for entry
- Reads blueprints or schematics and proposes lists of items needed to complete the job and bids if needed
- Recommends substitute or upscale items and expedites orders where necessary
- Keeps the customer aware of current products, pricing and special promotions or programs, works to get competitive pricing for our customer
- Emphasizes the services we provide and the value of these services
- Uses samples, brochures, laptop presentations, and calls with vendor reps to introduce new items or demonstrate features and uses of existing items
- Researches non-stocked items to meet customer's special needs based on knowledge of products.
- Joins associations or groups and attends regularly scheduled sales meetings, on-site vendor product training sessions and industry trade shows or seminars to maintain and improve knowledge of products to be able to sell on features and benefits and improve selling skills
- May assist Sales Manager in orientation and training of new outside sales employees based on specific knowledge or area of expertise
- Examines items returned by customer, determines appropriate corrective action, records the error on the computer and initiates error tracking corrective action or completes necessary credit, defective or return paperwork to resolve customer complaints and warranty problems
- May drive to customer business location or job site to hand deliver small product items in emergencies or arrange for Wolff Bros. Supply, Inc. delivery or delivery by vendor
- Runs and/or reads sales reports and weekly sales update and maintain customer information on our system
- Works with other departments to improve profitability by reporting competitors pricing information to purchasing to obtain better costs, working with A/R to collect delinquent payments, and reading procedure updates to improve internal communications and operations with all departments
