Outside Service Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION

Field inspection and processing of claims, troubleshooting and repairs, part ordering/tracking, and general outside service/logistics...all in a fast paced, detail oriented, and (at times) stressful environment. Enjoy working independently while being part of a structured team. Your eye for detail, calm demeanor, an aptitude for maintaining accurate data, and overall being a “ringleader of responsiveness” is a necessity. Customer Service skills are paramount to this position.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, examine, and process claims in the field as well as write, submit, and follow-up on comprehensive reports from start to finish
  • Obtain information required to ensure timely and appropriate processing of claims and claim repairs
  • Provide administrative and claims support, maintain confidential claim files, and responds to inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Extensive research, analyzing, and report compiling, all the while following an exacting SOP
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe manner and ability to travel long distances, out of state, and over night stay for scheduled assignments
  • Vendor Operations. Seek out, vet/screen, and onboard 3rd party providers needed to handle services that contribute to our finished product.
  • Actively and effectively weigh cost of claims/projects vs. intended outcome and make appropriate decisions for how to proceed in the best interests of our company. This effort includes communicating with management, accounting, outside contractors, agents, and others to determine the best course of action
  • Develop a knowledge base of client problems and resolutions in order to acknowledge and resolve customer complaints
  • Process orders and schedule client service appointments
  • Willingness to take on additional projects, workload, maintain good synergy within the team environment and collaborate with management to refine processes and practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years experience in the service industry, preferably related to claims handling or project management
  • Ability to be a 'road warrior' traveling throughout our service area and working within our clients homes and facilities
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR
  • Effectively use Google Workspace
  • Must demonstrate ability to manage extensive volumes of work with solid decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Must have the ability to work in a stressful and fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
  • Learn and efficiently operate Southland digital tools and operating systems
  • Lift and/or move up to 45 pounds. Full mobility of all extremities. Full visual range with no limitations. Ability to complete all tasks while wearing PPE in our clients homes and facilities.
