Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual or automatic transmissions across diverse routes, ensuring compliance with all federal and state transportation regulations.
• Plan routes effectively to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays, maintaining communication with dispatch for updates.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road.
• Secure loads properly using straps, tarps, or other securing devices to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws while demonstrating professionalism on every journey.

Experience

• Proven minimum 1 year experience as a commercial truck driver with a valid CDL A license; previous over-the-road driving experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of DOT regulations related to hours of service, vehicle inspections, and safety standards.
