Responsibilities

• Safely operate tractor-trailers across regional and national routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Manage freight loading and unloading at shipper and receiver.
• Manage a variety of trailer dry vans.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety concerns before and after each trip.
• Plan efficient routes for timely deliveries while adjusting for traffic or weather conditions to optimize performance.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any incidents encountered on the road.

Experience

• Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL A license; previous over-the-road experience preferred.
• Hands-on familiarity with driving manual transmission trucks and operating various trailer.
• Manage load and unload process at receiver to ensure secure and safe load, making sure load is correct on tandems.
• Strong knowledge of route planning, load securement techniques, and safety protocols for long-distance trucking.
• Delivery driver experience involving freight handling across diverse cargo types enhances your suitability for this role.
