Overnight Asleep Caregiver

Overview
OPEN HOURS are 10pm-7am. Working between 2-4 nights per week on a temporary-hire basis. Overnight Caregivers are needed for monitoring safety, assisting with personal care needs, and responding promptly to any emergencies or changes in condition while maintaining a calm and respectful environment.

Duties

• Monitor resident throughout the night, ensuring safety and comfort while respecting their privacy and dignity.
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including toileting, repositioning, and personal hygiene as needed In the morning prior to leaving for the day.
• Respond promptly to calls or emergencies, providing necessary support or alerting guardian or supervisors or emergency personnel when required.
• Maintain accurate documentation of overnight observations, vital signs, and any incidents using daily documentation logs.
• Perform deep cleaning duties to ensure a hygienic environment within residents’ rooms and common areas.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lift, shower chair and catheter system to assist mobility safely and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of assisted living practices and home & community care standards.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, or other cognitive or physical impairments is essential.
• Ability to monitor vital signs accurately and respond appropriately to changes in residents’ health status.
• Strong communication skills coupled with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
• Physical ability to assist resident with ADLs using proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling methods.
• Valid driver’s license is advantageous for transportation duties related to resident outings or appointments to pick up additional daytime shifts.

Pay: $18.50 - $28.37 per hour
